Purpose And Typical Call Flow

    Presently, small firms and home based telemarketers w ho wish to maintain contact with their existing customer base or who require a large supply of new prospects have limited technology to automate their outbound dialing campaigns.

        Apart from those organizations who manually use a touch tone phone on hundreds of calls daily, others utilize a PC based contact manager software like ACT or Goldmine with a conventional modem to autodial numbers from a list. This crude solution forces the telemarketer to listen to all of the normal dialing "call progress" signals like busies and no answers. You can well imagine that after a short time, the telemarketer will have a headache and soon after, may miss the distinction of when a live prospect answers their phone. 

        It is also important to note that whether prospector's target market is a corporate office or home based consumer, statistics bear out that 60% or more of the time you will miss your desired party and instead be greeted by some kind of answering device. That means the telemarketer must personally dictate repetitive and time consuming callback messages to those machines thus slowing down the whole outbound campaign to a crawl.

    Here are three real-world scenarios illustrating how PPD would operate:

Scenario A-- Basic Outbound Dialer

    With an imported list of phone numbers and customer names are present, PPD dials the first prospect and listens for their "hello" after which time the telemarketer is quickly connected to start conversation. Also immediately the prospect's contact information appears on the display and using the keyboard telemarketers can type personal notes and information about the account. Once the call is completed, the next prospect in the list can be dialed with the touch of a button.

Scenario B--  Supervised Deposit Mode

    At any time during an on-going call, the telemarketer may select a prerecorded message to be played to the caller or their answering machine/voicemail box; and then exit the phone call. The telemarketer can then begin a second call to the next scheduled prospect on another available phone line. (This feature allows the operator to be more productive and efficient.) Once the prerecorded message completes on the first call, the phone line is disconnected automatically and reset for later use.
